Refuting The Notion Of Impermanence In Buddhism
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. The perception of time to the Buddhists is not associated with the measure of time in typical fashion, but rather it incorporates an overwhelming sense of wholeness and expansion, which effectively transcends any mortal barriers placed upon its passage. There are significant differences between how time is perceived in Buddhism and that which is perceived by what is termed a "normal" basis. This sense of distinct timelessness – an impermanence that is in direct opposition to the rigid structure of its passage outside of the Buddhist realm -- has no proof of actuality; rather, it reflects an esoteric perspective of time and space that is supposed to apply to mortal beings. One might readily surmise that once out of this lifetime, the aspect of impermanence may exist, yet the fundamental essence mortal existence advances the very notion of limitations and perpetuity. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Sacred Texts: Contrasts in Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page contention that although texts which are considered sacred are found among the world’s more established religions, they are sometimes regarded differently according to the religion and the time period. For Christians, of course, the sacred text is the Holy Bible. For Islam, it is the Quran and for Hinduism it is the Bhagavad Gita. Each of these religious groups view these texts with great reverence but there is some variation in the way that they are regarded. This variation is a reflection of the differences in the religion’s ideology itself as well as the different evolutionary stages of each religion. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
