While some knowledge of Theodore Roosevelt was gained prior to the reading of this book, Republican Roosevelt added much more depth to this reader's understanding of this incredible leader. Blum as a writer is an incredibly gifted, intelligent, and sensitive writer who brings history to life and makes it more easily understood.
