Thomas Jefferson, Slavery, And The Hypocrisy Of Our Founding Fathers
[ send me this paper ]
In this well-written 5 page essay, it is argued that Thomas Jefferson and various other 'Founding Fathers' of the United States were hypocritical in drafting that 'all men are created equal'- when many of them were known --among others things-- to be slave owners. The writer acknowledges that the Framers were aware of this hypocrisy and discusses the socioeconomic and political dilemma that they faced in making pertinent decisions. A number of rarely-known facts such as the Constitutional provision which outlawed the barring of slavery until at least 1808 are used to illustrate this essay's main points. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Kennedy/Preparing for the 21st Century
[ send me this paper ]
A 2 page book review that analyzes Preparing for the Twenty-first Century by Paul Kennedy. Beginning with the concern that Malthus expressed two hundred years ago in regards to the England's eighteenth-century population explosion, Kennedy then proceeds to relate this to the current rate of growth of the world's population. He argues quite convincingly that the ecological problems of the later part of the twentieth century will become critical as the world enters the new millennium. The central theme of Kennedy's book is that education will play an intrinsic role in whether or not the world can support the estimated 10 billion human beings that will soon be living here.

Federalists/Anti-Federalists / Compare & Contrast Ratification Of The United States Constitution
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. When comparing and contrasting Anti-Federalist views on the ratification of the United States Constitution with those of the Federalists, one must also consider the inherent relationship that represents their respective views upon principles, problems and solutions, ultimately surmising which side best reflects or departs from the original principles set forth for the Declaration. It can be argued that the two sides are quite contrary in their individual perceptions, with each faction believing its own views are of primary integrity.
