This day and age of tremendous technological breakthroughs continue to make the challenge that much easier with a combination of preventive and curative treatments. However, the ease with which these treatments are so effective and readily available has created a problem in and of itself: Today's children are severely overmedicated. One treatment in particular that has caused a great deal of the problem is antibiotics, inasmuch as pediatricians often prescribe this so-called "cure all" medication without requiring a culture.
