Dean Corll: The Candy Man

The Texan, who was born on Christmas Eve 1939, was considered a most likable guy with a particular penchant toward making candy and planning parties for the neighborhood kids. Without any indication of any kind, the parents of these children were setting them up for inevitable disaster, inasmuch as the parties were staged as a way for Corll to hand-pick the next young boy he would eventually sodomize, murder and dismember in his private torture chamber.
