The Evolutionary Path Of Political Organizations
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. The evolutionary path of political organizations can be traced back to the very first time man realized that he could exercise power over another individual. From that point of enlightenment, political organizations have sought to control virtually every element of human existence. While several historical events are prominently associated with the evolution of political organizations, one might readily argue that two periods stand out over and above most others: Tammany and the Progressive Era. The Global South: Injustices of the Existing Trade Regime
[ send me this paper ]
A 15 page examination of the factors influencing and related to the world trade regime as it impacts the global south. The author contends that the current trade regime operates against the interest of the global south. With certain manipulations, however, the trade regime can evolve to promote the prosperity and the development of the global south while at the same time ensuring some profit for the controlling entities as well. Those manipulations would entail the introduction of mechanisms through which entities of the global south could move away from their characteristic dependence on one or just a few resources for export to one in which they not only relied on a more varied export but also relied less on the highly processed and often technologically advanced import. Bibliography lists 20 sources.

This 6 page report discusses the Constitution of the United States and how it has shaped political theory, meaning, and life in the U.S. The goal of any meaningful constitutional text must be not simply to structure a government, but to construct a political system, one that can guide the formation of a larger constitution, a “way of life” that is conducive to constitutional democracy. The Idea of Government: The Comparable Views of Locke and Kant
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page discussion of the similarities between John Locke's philosophy of government and that of Immanuel Kant. The Impact of the Internet and Potential Implications for Democracy
[ send me this paper ]
This is a 15 page paper discussing the impact of the Internet on democracy. The Internet in today’s society has begun to take on many of the governmental processes which previously were only restricted to traditional methods during the democratic process. Political parties are now using the Internet during election campaigns and are increasing their access by the inclusion of online chat rooms or email addresses from which they can be contacted. The fact that the Internet is becoming accepted by many governments and by most of the Western population is only the beginning of what many people believe can be the expansion of democracy on a global scale. Promoters of the increased use of the Internet would like to see what can be referred to as an “e-democracy” in which not only the traditional democratic processes can be converted to Internet access, such as online voting, but see the Internet as becoming a way in which individuals within society can become much more proactive in the world of political issues and ideals. The promotion of democratic ideals on a global scale through the Internet is seen as a natural process by many who believe the introduction of the Internet in underdeveloped countries or in countries which were formerly not based on democracies and its link to the market economy can only result in individuals from all nations given access to global information and international contacts. It is the availability of this global information and the link with the market economy which many believe are the keys to a natural development of democracy and the Internet plays a central part to this accessibility. Bibliography lists 15 sources.
