Ticket Scalping in New Jersey
[ send me this paper ]
An 8 page paper which discusses the pros and cons of ticket scalping with primary focus upon ticket scalping in New Jersey. Various events around the country are finding themselves at the mercy of ticket scalpers. These scalpers come in the form of individuals looking to make an extra buck, ticket brokers, ticket agencies, and even sports figures. There are those who eagerly seek to have ticket scalping regulated or eliminated, while others fight to allow scalping to remain a part of the entertainment industry. While some believe it does nothing but harm for the country and the entertainment industry, others believe that without legalized scalping the black market would take control and the situation would be even worse. These are just a few of the examples and opinions presented herein. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Urban Sprawl in Macomb County, Michigan
[ send me this paper ]
A 20 page paper discussing the effects of
urban sprawl in a region considered to be suburban to Detroit. The paper views the issue
from the perspective of residents, large developers, government officials and local
environmental groups, all of which appear to agree on basic principles including that stating
that laws need to be changed now to help stem the expansion of cities and highways away
from the decaying core of Detroit. Michigan lacks a cohesive land use policy; each
municipality is responsible for its own land use decisions. Strict adherence to zoning
regulations prevent developers from concentrating on revitalizing decaying downtown
areas, forcing them to continue outward expansion in order to remain in their chosen
business. Bibliography lists 20 sources.
