How Successful Has The U.S. State Department Been In
Preventing Sex Trafficking In Asia?
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. That sex trafficking continues in Asia even at this moment means that the U.S. State Department has not been as successful as it would like to be in quelling the ongoing incidence of involuntary prostitution. The year 2000 saw aggressive legislature come to pass when four programs were implemented as a means by which to stop the trafficking of women and children around the world. Coupled with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. State Department spent almost one point six million dollars so that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) had the funds to establish such monumental prevention efforts, providing assistance to victims, and improving coordination between law enforcement officials and local NGOs. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Hugo Black: One Individual Asserting his Civil Rights
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages. When we look at how Justice Black was allowed to serve on the Supreme Court and the fact that he did, in his own way, serve fairly and doing good for all people in an equal sense, we must consider the philosophy of civil rights in general. Human Rights and Sovereignty
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper discussing when outside forces should
intervene. Nations are indeed sovereign entities, and they need to be regarded as such.
When it becomes obvious that they are actively abusing the rights of their own citizens,
however, then outside forces need to intervene. The decision may not be politically
popular, but it is morally right. Taking that path benefits all involved, and the benefits of
the action outweigh the negatives associated with momentarily violating a nation's
sovereignty. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
