New Episodes in the Mythological Epic Tradition for “Star Wars"
[ send me this paper ]
This 15 page report discusses the mythological aspects of the
Star Wars movies and suggests two possible scenarios for
development in terms of the overall plot of the stories.
Recognizing that one of the reasons the movie series has been
such a great success is because it follows a literary tradition
that has been popular, literally for centuries, the “new”
episodes also follow the traditional epic hero’s quest as does
each of the Star Wars movies. Bibliography lists 9 sources.

Ngangura Mweze's "Life Is Rosy" / "La Vie Est Belle"
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. La Vie Est Belle (Life Is Rosy) by Ngangura Mweze is a wonderfully funny story about love, social acceptance and the trouble people will go to achieve both in their lives. Director Mweze took a story line completely different from the typical African cinematic representation and offered the public a more carefree approach to life than is so common of African films. Indeed, Mweze has a reputation of reaching out and inviting his audience to experience with him the sometimes intense and often comical sense of being that is clearly portrayed within his cinematic work, with La Vie Est Belle serving as a fine example. No bibliography.

Obsession in “Play Misty for Me”
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page report discusses
the 1971movie “Play Misty for Me” directed by and starring Clint
Eastwood and how it portrays obsession. In the movie, Eastwood
plays a late-night, radio disk jockey who has a casual sexual
relationship with one of his female fans, Evelyn Draper, played
by Jessica Walter. The character of Evelyn Draper would now be
described as a “stalker.” Time and again she presents herself to
Dave, convinced that he is in love with her and equally convinced
that she is the woman for him. The movie demonstrates the
delusions and passion associated with obsession over another
person. No secondary sources.

is not so easy to be flippant. Such is the case
with an "obsessive compulsive disorder."

"As Good As it Gets," whose major character in an
obsessive compulsive, allows us to see what that
