Shakespeare's Development as a Dramatist: A Comparison of Richard III and Richard II

A 3 page discussion of the development of Shakespeare's drama between his earlier works such as Richard III and his second period works such as Richard II. Contends that even in Richard III, produced in what is classified as his first phase of writing, Shakespeare is phenomenally successful in dramatically portraying Richard III as pure evil. His dramatic skill in his later work, especially Richard II, will be even more apparent. It would be during this period that Shakespeare would bring historical drama to a near perfection. Shelley's "Frankenstein"
