Vietnam and Patton’s Speech to the Third Army
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper comparing Jacqueline Navarra Rhoads’ essay on nursing in Vietnam to General George Patton’s speech to the Third Army on June 5, 1944. Patton’s love of war may have been hard pressed to persist had he seen Vietnam, and particularly had he seen it in the way that Rhoads did. The simple description of what had become normal life is enough to negate Patton’s perceptions and his speech to the Third Army. With Vietnam, Patton’s views became anachronistic and a part of the past. Bibliography lists 1 source.

Vietnam And The Crisis Of American Empire
[ send me this paper ]
7 pages in length. In assessing how and why the US came to tie its own fate to the creation and maintenance of an American dominated anticommunist regime in Southeast Asia, the student will want to illustrate how government control can sometimes overstep the boundaries of its own best intentions. The shortcomings that plagued America's involvement in Vietnam clearly illustrate that the only reason the United States was influential over the enemy was due to military strength, rather than an appreciation of the political aspects of the war. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Vietnam And The Media
[ send me this paper ]
8 pages in length. The Vietnam War did not represent a significantly popular time in United States history, inasmuch as American involvement proved to divide an already agitated nation. Added to the significant unrest was the regularly inconsistent, often inaccurate and highly unethical approach in which the media provided coverage by inciting public outcry and, at times, crippling war efforts. Bibliography lists 15 sources.

Vietnam/Why We Lost
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page research paper that investigates why the US lost the Vietnam War. The writer argues that while the US saw Vietnam as a limited conflict, the Vietnamese were more then prepared emotionally, if not in resources, to fight an all-out war. Also, and quite ironically, analysis shows that the US lost this war for much the same reasons that the US won the Revolutionary War with Great Britain. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Wainstock's The Decision To Drop The Bomb
[ send me this paper ]
Every decision has multiple
levels of information to be considered: from what to make for breakfast
to dropping the first atomic bomb. The problem, according to Dennis
Wainstock, in The Decision To Drop The Bomb, is that political decisions
of the magnitude of dropping the bomb also have the added weight of
historical review. This 5 page paper argues that Dropping the bomb was
not only a decision with many elements, it was a decision that placed
certain political actions into place and gives a historical precedent in
the Emancipation Proclamation. No additional sources are listed.

Walt Disney - The Man
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. When one thinks of Walt Disney, the mind conjures up visions of Mickey Mouse, amusement parks and feature-length films. But there exists more to the man who gifted the world with the likes of Donald Duck and Peter Pan: behind the imagination lived a role model who was impassioned with making the world a better place for both humanity and the animal world. Through his efforts, Disney enabled great -- if not subtle -- changes to occur while he cleverly hid his intentions within an entertaining platform. The writer addresses Disney's humanitarian contributions, as well as those he set forth for the environment, that clearly shows why he is a role model of a different color. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
